Software
Overview
This introductory segment of the training
process assists new users to become familiar with
Visual Streamline, gaining experience in menu
navigation, screen layouts, keyboard shortcuts and
the power of “drill through” capabilities.
For the experienced user, this is typically a
quick review.
Master-file
Review and Definition
Clearly
understanding and reviewing the master files and
supporting tables is an important step of any
software implementation.
In this segment of the training plan, each
field and function of every master file is reviewed.
By accomplishing this, clients gain an
understanding of how files and fields are linked to
one another. This
also gives clients an opportunity to plan the
conversion of their current data into Visual
Streamline.
Management
Training
Work
flow -> processes -> procedures -> business
practices are all integral pieces that make
organizations tick.
This portion of the training plan relates to
the higher level of software understanding.
Business practices, software settings and
configurations are extensively reviewed.
An examination of the accounting flow and
sales reporting features are presented.
In some instances, this can lead to
re-engineering of workflow and business practices.
End
User Training
End
User training is the hands-on training of day-to-day
transactions. All the application functions that are used daily are trained
during this phase.
Order Entry, Invoicing, Purchasing,
Inventory, Accounts Receivable and Payable are some
examples of the core areas that are trained in
detail with the end user in mind.
Post
Live Training
Things
change. By the time clients are ready to perform their
first month end, there are inevitably some processes that
need to be revisited and in some cases further training.
In other circumstances, clients want to further use the
power of Visual Streamline to enhance their business practices.
We will also assist your company in preparing for its
first month end processing. This phase of the training
plan encompasses these types of changes and process review.
